We focus on two main types of clients

Architects & Builders

Architects

We bring European fenestration systems — including Makrowin, Schüco, and Salamander — to architects who are pushing the boundaries of building performance and design.

We work directly with your team from specification through installation, offering the technical fluency to navigate complex glazing details, passive house standards, and high-performance envelope requirements. Where we stand apart is in timber and aluminum curtain wall and sloped curtain wall applications — specialty systems that demand both precision engineering and hands-on field expertise that’s rarely available in this region.

A recent example: a mahogany timber curtain wall with triple-pane glazing for a Philip Johnson Glass House remodel — a project that required exacting craftsmanship at every stage. Our furnish-and-install model means a single point of accountability from product selection to final commissioning, so your vision doesn’t get lost in the handoff.

Builders

PRISM collaborative LLC is the partner you call when the windows and doors are anything but standard.

We specialize in European tilt-turn, lift-and-slide, and curtain wall systems — including timber, aluminum, and sloped applications — that demand precision installation and careful site coordination. A recent project involved an aluminum curtain wall anchored to a structural steel frame behind the glass wall, combined with oversized triple-pane lift-and-slide doors — the kind of technical complexity that requires experience well beyond a standard fenestration install.

Our turnkey approach handles everything from logistics and sequencing to final installation, integrating smoothly with your crew and schedule even on complex or remote job sites. If the product matters, so does who installs it.

Our clients demand buildings where energy efficiency and design exceed the capabilities of domestic manufacturers. With proven industry experience and trusted partnerships, we deliver comprehensive solutions from engineering to installation—including large glass handling, qualified tradespeople, and certified installation techniques.

Shop Drawings & Installation Documentation

Specifying the right window system is only part of the work. Getting it installed correctly — especially in curtain wall and large-format applications — depends on documentation that goes well beyond a manufacturer’s standard detail sheet.

PRISM produces project-specific shop drawings from importers that give installers, structural engineers, and architects a complete picture of how each unit integrates with the building assembly.

This is where fenestration expertise and installation experience converge: drawings developed not just to satisfy submittal requirements, but to guide the work in the field.

What Our Shop Drawings Cover

01.

Structural Details & Load Paths

For curtain wall and oversized applications, we document how vertical and horizontal members carry wind load and dead load to the structure — including deflection allowances and connection geometry. Nothing is assumed; everything is shown.

02.

Sill, Jamb & Head Conditions

Every rough opening transition is detailed at full scale — how the frame meets the substrate, where tolerances are held, and how adjacent trades need to prepare the opening. Conditions that are frequently left to field interpretation are resolved on paper before installation begins.

04.

Thermal Break & Air Barrier Continuity

High-performance fenestration only performs as specified when the thermal envelope is continuous through the rough opening. Our drawings show exactly how the window system connects to the wall’s air and thermal barriers — with no gaps left to assumption or habit.

05.

Anchor & Fastener Schedules

Attachment points, fastener type, spacing, and embedment are fully documented for each unit and condition. For curtain wall applications this includes bracket geometry, adjustment range, and load transfer to the primary structure.

Why It Matters for Curtain Wall

Curtain wall installations compress the margin for error. Frames are large, glass is heavy, tolerances are tight, and remediation after glazing is costly. A shop drawing package that accounts for structural behavior, envelope continuity, and field sequence — before a single anchor is set — is not overhead. It is risk management.

While shop drawing production and installation are handled by distinct teams at PRISM, both are unified through a shared knowledge base built during collaborative project review. The import and fabrication team works in close coordination with the field team, ensuring the intent of every detail is carried from the drawing to the field — with nothing lost in translation.

Submittals & Coordination

Shop drawing packages are prepared for architect review and can be coordinated with structural and envelope consultants as required. We treat the submittal process as a genuine quality checkpoint — not a formality.
